Who We Are

The FootNook Story:

Over the span of my career, I have come to realize that every job I was gifted to serve in, always led to me to comforting someone.  It came as no surprise that I came up with a functional, yet comfortable blanket to help others in need.

The FootNook Blanket serves as an extension of my heart to others.  It is my mission to build comfort into the fabric of others lives that will bring warmth and joy to them.

My ultimate vision for the FootNook Blanket is to create the most comfortable blanket that will extend the warmth of God's love to those around the world who are in need of a heartfelt hug.

An idea to meet a need:

The concept for the FootNook Blanket was generated out of a need for a blanket to stay wrapped around one’s lower legs to keep the warm air in around the coldest of toes.  It is often difficult to keep feet warm with a traditional blanket with only the top layer covering the body.  They do not offer any protection or coverage on the underside, leaving half the body vulnerable to the cold air, especially with any movement disrupting the air that had been previously trapped and warmed underneath the top layer.

A blanket needed to be designed to keep the warm air in close proximity while relaxing with feet elevated up on the couch, on top of the coffee table, when moving around in an office chair or wheelchair, during trips in cold airplanes or trains, camping and picnicking in the great outdoors, or wherever life finds you.

This led to the unique patent pending design of the FootNook Blanket.

The plush double layered material was chosen to keep you toasty warm.  It was created to be wide enough for full body coverage at the top, along with attachments at the neck to keep the blanket up while one is sitting up.

The slimming foot pouch at the bottom was built to be slim enough to keep the warm air in and around one’s lower legs, thus increasing circulation.  The slim pouch also fits within the dimensions of a wheelchair for ease of moving around without the blanket dragging on the floor, getting stuck in the wheels, or neglecting to keep the back of one’s lower legs warm.

The FootNook Blanket's design also includes dual hand pockets to keep one’s hands toasty.  The second pocket can keep items nearby, such as your phone.

It is rewarding to know that someone can be comforted by a FootNook Blanket wherever they take it.
